1979 Annie Awards

Way back on October 11 1979 I was able to attend the Annie Awards and got some cool autographs...Ray Bradbury,George Pal, Frank Thomas, Grim Natwick June Foray and Cylde Geronimi...some of these names you might recognize but younger fans of the Blog might not know these people. Enjoy and I just wanted to share these with you all.

Dave and Dale Cox

Way back in 1983 Dave and Dale Cox made a Christmas greeting that they produced and had broadcast on television to all their friends. The spot was all hand drawn on animation paper with ink pen and marker, not cells, and then they gave out the original animation drawings, well here is my drawing from that special '83 Christmas, if you saw it you might remember this...They still live up around Toronto. Merry Christmas...

Fivel and Tin Tin

3 setups that I happened to have gotten while in Korea...Fivel Goes West and Tin Tin series pieces...these were animated in Korea way back in 1991 or so...

Rupert the Bear

Here is a drawing from a scene that I animated on Rupert. It was a dragon and was after Rupert, turned out not bad and thought you might like to see drawing and final color version.

Dog City Backgrounds

Here are 3 examples of some great BG's that were painted in Korea for the series, these were done in gauche at Taesang Studios.
The work is very good and sorry if the quality is not that great in the scans...hope you like them, not like the digital ones done today in Photoshop, these artists knew how to paint the classic way.

More Dog City

Here are some more Dog City set ups, the comic book panels were from an episode where the main character was drawing a Ace Hart comic telling the story. The other is Ace looking out from the TV set at the viewers.

Hi again, well here are 2 cells I have in my collection, these were retakes that had something wrong with them and would have been thrown out. Anyway it was great working on that series which was directed by Frank Paur. He is a great talent and wish I could get in touch with him after all these years. Anyway hope ya like these gems.
